Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences Council Emphasizes the Importance of Enhancing Integration Among Programs in Implementing Strategic Plans

The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences Council held its sixth regular meeting of the year on Saturday, June 13, 2026, chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Adel Al-Tuwati, and attended by council members. The meeting addressed several academic and administrative issues related to the development of the educational process, quality assurance, and academic accreditation.

The Council reviewed the enrollment capacities of the academic programs for the upcoming academic year and discussed the proposals submitted by the various programs. It also examined the programs’ operational plans and proposed projects, emphasizing the importance of strengthening integration and collaboration among academic programs in the implementation of these plans.

As part of the quality assurance and accreditation agenda, the Council reviewed the efforts undertaken by the Medicine Program to renew its programmatic accreditation. In addition, a report was presented on the process of identifying new research priorities for the Faculty, aiming to support and enhance the scientific research system.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the Faculty’s commitment to continuous improvement in academic and administrative performance, with the goal of enhancing the quality and efficiency of the educational process.
