About SHMS

The School of Health and Medical Sciences (SHMS) at LIMU is the first and only school in Libya that offers various and comprehensive health sciences programs under one distinctive umbrella. With such reorganization of both under-and postgraduate programs of health sciences, we anticipate efficient and quicker services, reduced operational costs, better distribution of operating budgets, data-based decision-making, and a decrease in the effect of employees and staff members turnover.
We also expect that the transition will face some challenges that can be easily dealt with. These challenges may include initial implementation cost, time needed to adopt full operation, training needs of employees, and promoting the transition among the stakeholders and the public.

Postgraduate programs include Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical Biochemistry, and Healthcare Management. This transformation reflects LIMU’s commitment to continuous development, aiming to impact both local and international communities through strategic goals rooted in the university’s founding values.
